Internal Freight Sales Coordinator - Manchester - Up to 37,000

Our client, a leading logistics company, is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Internal Freight Sales Coordinator to join their team in Manchester. This role focuses on generating new business leads, and supporting the sales team to drive revenue growth. You will play a key role in developing customer relationships, preparing quotations, and coordinating with operations to ensure a seamless service.

Job type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to 37,000 DOE

Key Responsibilities

* Develop relationships with new and existing customers
* Respond to inbound sales enquiries and prepare competitive freight quotations
* Proactively make outbound sales calls to generate new business leads
* Support the external sales team with pricing, proposals, and customer updates
* Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handover and service delivery
* Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in CRM systems
* Contribute to the achievement of team and individual sales targets
* Provide a high level of customer service and follow up on all opportunities

Skills & Experience

* 1-2 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transport sales (internal or external)
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships
* Commercially focused with a drive to meet and exceed targets
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM systems
* Organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude
* Knowledge of international freight services (air & sea) is highly desirable
