.NET Developer - C# / ASP.NET MVC / SQL / AWS
Location: Manchester, Remote
Day Rate: 350 - 400 / day
Contract: 3 month contract
We are recruiting for a C#.NET Developer on behalf of a digital consultancy supporting the development of enterprise-scale platforms used by clients in the retail and commerce sector. This role is focused on building and maintaining a high-performance web application that supports critical business operations and customer interactions.
The project involves modernising and enhancing an existing .NET web platform hosted in AWS. As a C# Developer, you'll be joining a fully remote team of engineers and working across the application stack to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of a large-scale web application using C# and ASP.NET MVC
- Write and optimise SQL queries and stored procedures for data-driven features
- Collaborate with team members to implement scalable architecture and cloud-based infrastructure in AWS
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployments
- Troubleshoot bugs, identify bottlenecks, and propose efficient solutions
- Follow secure coding practices and document technical processes
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience as a C# Developer in commercial environments
- Proficiency with ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server
- Experience developing and maintaining enterprise web applications
- Knowledge of hosting and deploying applications in AWS
- Ability to work independently within a remote Agile team
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the retail, ecommerce, or B2C digital platforms space
- Familiarity with DevOps practices or containerisation (Docker, ECS, etc.)
- Exposure to frontend technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
