The Role
As an On-Site Estimator, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and within budget. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, review technical drawings and project specifications, and collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and suppliers. Your input will be critical to the successful planning and delivery of projects.

As On-Site Estimator, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates and project bids

  • Reviewing project specifications, drawings, and technical documentation

  • Obtaining, evaluating, and negotiating supplier quotations

  • Preparing detailed cost reports and documentation

  • Participating in project meetings and liaising with clients and suppliers

  • Supporting project managers to ensure successful project delivery

  • Managing multiple projects on-site with attention to detail

The Ideal Candidate
The successful On-Site Estimator will have:

  • Experience in cost estimation, budget analysis, and preparing project bids

  • Ability to review technical drawings and project specifications

  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organisational skills

  • Knowledge of steel piling or construction projects is desirable but not essential

  • Academic or vocational qualifications in engineering, construction, quantity surveying, or a related field

  • Ability to work on-site and manage multiple projects efficiently
