Paraplanner / Junior Paraplanner

Location - Manchester (Hybrid/ Office or Remote)

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (DoE)

The opportunity

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Paraplanner or Junior Paraplanner to join our busy team.

The role

You will provide paraplanning and technical administrative support to the Paraplanning Manager and the Practice Manager including, but not limited to;

  • Analyse clients’ requirements, develop cash flow models, complete calculations and accurately record client data;
  • Prepare suitability letters and reports, taking full responsibility for the client files and back office IT records throughout the advice process;
  • Gathering and chasing ceding information from Providers;
  • Prepare client reports and suitability letters, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews;
  • Ensure that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally;
  • Undertake administrative tasks to support the Paraplanning Manager & Practice Manager as necessary;
  • Undertake continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.

The person

You will have demonstrable experience in a paraplanning role within the St. James's Place Partnership. You will be articulate, numerate and have experience in the areas of Inheritance Tax Planning, Pensions, Investments and Protection as well as composing accurate suitability letters. You must have a can-do attitude, be able to show initiative, work well on your own and as part of a team, have excellent IT skills and be a strong communicator. It is essential that you are professional and confident in dealing with Advisers and third parties, have excellent communication skills and can work with total discretion.
