Reed are seeking a passionate and driven Sales Merchandiser to join our industry leading clients Sales Team.

Our client is a UK leader in the market of tools and accessories, partnering with house-hold names in the tool retail space.

If you have a keen interest in tools and equipment and excel in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you. This position offers the opportunity to work with world-class products, enhancing brand visibility and driving sales within designated retail locations.

The goal of this position is to work in partnership with Regional Business Development team, to work together to land and expand into our client’s existing customer base. Your role will be to visit customers in-person, to discuss product ranges, expanding ranges and demonstrating new product lines.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Execute merchandising strategies to ensure optimal product placement and brand visibility.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations, highlighting key features and benefits to boost sales.
  • Manage inventory levels, perform routine stock checks, and address discrepancies to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Build strong relationships with store managers and retail staff to enhance product advocacy and ensure compliance with brand and retailer guidelines.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to customers, demonstrating product functionality and answering queries.
  • Collaborate with store management and sales teams to maximise performance and sales outcomes.
  • Regularly provide feedback and reporting on sales performance, product trends, and customer preferences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven hands-on experience with power tools and a strong passion for tools and technology.
  • Previous experience in retail, merchandising, or sales.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in merchandising, promotions, and sales efforts.
  • Highly organised with the capability to analyse sales data and provide actionable insights.
  • Clean driving licence and willingness to travel to different store locations within the specified region, including some overnight stays.
