Sea freight Import Operator - (LCL)

Location: Central Manchester
Hours: 8:00-4:30 / 9:00-5:30 (or similar full-time hours)

We are currently working with a well-established freight forwarding business in central Manchester who are looking to recruit an experienced Import Operator to join their growing operations team.

This is a pure seafreight import role, with a strong focus on LCL / consolidation shipments, offering stability, clear processes, and a supportive working environment.

The Role:

• End-to-end management of seafreight import shipments
• Handling LCL / consolidation cargo from origin through to final delivery
• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
• Preparing and checking import documentation
• Using CargoWise to manage files and operational data
• Ensuring compliance with customs and company procedures

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in seafreight import operations
• Strong understanding of LCL / consolidation processes
• CargoWise experience preferred
• Organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple files
• Confident communicator with customers and suppliers
