Job Title: Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor
Location: Manchester Hybrid - 1-2 days WFH
Salary: OTE 70,000 - 100,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm
About the position - Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:
We're looking for an experienced Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor to join a high-performing team in Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to put your financial services expertise to work in a role where you'll guide clients through the mortgage process, providing expert, personalised advice to help them make informed decisions.
Ideally, CeMAP qualified with Competent Adviser Status (CAS), you'll have a proven track record in a similar role and a passion for delivering outstanding client service. In return, you'll be joining Salford's largest estate agency, giving you:
- A steady stream of high-quality, pre-qualified leads booked directly into your diary
- Full admin and back-office support so you can focus on advising
- Clear progression opportunities, including potential to move into management
Earnings:
- 45% commission on leads provided
- 75% commission on self-generated business

Responsibilities required for the role of Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:
- Working closely with a busy estate agent, dealing with pre-qualified mortgage leads
- Assess clients' financial situations to identify suitable mortgage options
- Provide expert advice on "whole of market" mortgage products
- Providing tailored protection advice including life, critical illness, and income protection
- Liaising with lenders to facilitate/expedite the approval process, offering regular updates to clients
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and recommendations
- Working closely with our in-house financial advisor, offering an additional service to clients if required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and changes in mortgage regulations
- Working with attention to detail, maintaining high compliance standards under FCA guidelines
Experience required for the role of Self-Employed Mortgage & Protection Advisor:
- Proven track record within a similar role
- CeMap qualified, ideally with CAS status
- Results driven, able to find solutions
- Customer focused, with excellent communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Pro-active and motivated approach
