Moxie People has teamed up with a leading national consultancy in their search for an experienced Estimator to join their established Utilities team to work on projects based in the Manchester area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure and prepare quantities from drawings and specifications.
  • Abstract material and subcontract requirements for pricing and sourcing.
  • Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of material and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare detailed analytical estimates, including the appraisal of construction plant and temporary works.
  • Participate in the preparation of submission documents.
  • Conduct site visits during the tender period.
  • Forecast capital expenditure and income.
  • Develop cash flow forecasts.

What do you need?

  • Experience with pricing work under various contract forms, including NEC, Fixed, Target Cost, Design & Build, Specification & Drawing, or ECI bids.
  • Degree in a Civil Engineering-related discipline or equivalent.
  • Chartered status or working towards it is preferred.
  • Strong technical understanding of Civil Engineering with the ability to suggest alternative solutions.
