The Role
We are just kicking off the search for 2 SQL Developer for a long-standing client who we have placed many developers with over the last 10 years. These two roles are exclusively available through Oscar Technology.
These roles are essentially remote, we do need you to be willing to travel to the office if there is a company wide meeting called, however this has not happened since they moved to a remote first working model after the pandemic. We do need candidates to be UK based, but any location within the UK is fine.
The Company
This long-established company are going from strength to strength with further expansion and aggressive growth planned. They had an amazing financial performance for a number of years now and have been going from strength to strength since. They are a large company, with a wide-ranging suite of products and services. Due to acquisition and growth, they are the absolute leader in their field.
The Role
As SQL Developer you will be part of the database team that is about to embark on a 5 year data transformation project, to migrate all of their legacy data (from over 20 years of trading history and acquisitions) into new systems. The majority of data is currently stored within SQL Server based systems and will be moving to new, cutting edge data systems.
This is really only the beginning of this project, it is absolutely the perfect time to get involved and join this business. You will need to work with stakeholders within the business, gather requirements for each migration and then deliver this.
Responsibilities
- Provide and approve SQL Server and data structure technical design.
- Data Migrations using Azure
- SSIS - Data Staging
- Provide support to the integration team developing & deploying SSIS Packages.
Requirements
We are simply looking for strong skills in these two areas.
- SQL
- Data Migration / SSIS / ETL
Any experience with Azure is a good bonus.
