Trading Underwriting Assistant - based in ManchesterYour new companyYour new company is one of the largest MGAs in the UK, with offices all over the UK that specialises in the SME to mid-market Property & Casualty business. They have fantastic relationships with their panel of brokers and put their clients at the centre of their underwriting strategy. Due to expansion within the Existing Business team a position for a Trading Underwriting Assistant has arisen. This role is based in Manchester.

Your new role: Your new role as a Trading Underwriting Assistant means you will develop and sustain strong broker relationships by consistently delivering outstanding customer service and managing renewals efficiently. Collaborate proactively with your team and manager to help establish and grow the new Manchester Centre of Excellence. Duties will include efficiently handling broker and client requests including renewal queries, mid-term adjustments and cancellations, collaborating with team members, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and taking ownership of large renewal cases. Further duties will also include operating within your delegated underwriting authority and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes.

What you'll need to succeed: Your previous experience within a service-based industry and knowledge of good customer outcomes will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will be self-motivated, friendly, good relationship building skills, quick to learn, team working skills and an ability to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent communication and organisational skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel. Ideally, you will be able to perform under pressure and problem solve as well as ideally be Cert CII qualified.
