We're recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable and fast-growing fashion supplier based in buzzy Manchester. Known for their dynamic team and collaborative environment, they are now looking for a talented Designer to join their expanding womenswear non-clothing division. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of product categories including loungewear, nightwear, accessories, sportswear, and swimwear, designing for leading UK high-street retailers.
You'll be working closely with the Senior Designer and the wider design team, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the design process. This role is perfect for someone with a keen commercial eye and strong awareness of trends, who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Conducting trend forecasting and high-street research to inform product development
- Design across a range of womenswear non-clothing products
- Communicate directly with overseas factories to develop and source products
- Build strong relationships with high-street buyers and support the presentation of design ranges
- Create detailed CADs and tech packs that translate design concepts into production-ready pieces
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising and production teams to ensure smooth workflow
Person specification:
- Previous experience in fashion design, ideally across multi-product categories such as nightwear, loungewear, accessories, swimwear or sportswear
- Strong understanding of the high-street fashion market and current trends
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Confident communicator with a proactive and positive attitude
- Creative thinker with strong CAD skills and a commercial design mindset
- Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to learn
