First People Solutions is working with a prominent consulting engineer to recruit a Technical Director for their Infrastructure and Environment team in Manchester.

In this role, you'll lead a well-established team delivering a wide range of infrastructure and highway projects across both public and private sectors. The work will span regeneration initiatives, frameworks, infrastructure schemes, and development projects for private clients.

What we're looking for:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng or IEng)
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing projects
- Strong background in business development and client engagement
- Familiarity with technical approvals
- Experience liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and design partners
- Capable of overseeing project delivery and mentoring junior engineers
- Willingness to support regional leadership with office management responsibilities
