Early Years Teaching Assistant - Primary School

Location: Blackley, Manchester (M9)
Salary: 450 - 550 per week

A warm and welcoming Primary School in Blackley is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young children as they begin their educational journey.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging environment, helping children develop in all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Responsibilities:

  • Support children across EYFS with learning, play, communication, and early social skills

  • Assist in delivering high-quality activities aligned with the Early Years curriculum

  • Provide targeted support to children who may need additional help

  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment

  • Support with observations, assessments, and tracking children's development

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an Early Years setting (Nursery or Reception)

  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and child development

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification desirable
