About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team, supporting children with additional needs within mainstream primary schools. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and has a passion for ensuring every child can access learning in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language delays, and challenging behaviour.
  • Adapt lessons and create personalised resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for all pupils.
  • Support pupils during classroom activities, as well as during breaks and transitions outside the classroom.
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to implement support plans effectively.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence, helping children to thrive academically and socially.

About You:
We are looking for someone with:

  • A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with children who have SEND.
  • A strong understanding of strategies to support children with a range of additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude towards supporting individual needs.
