This is a brilliant opportunity for those with a Science degree to put their academic background to practical use and support high-quality science education at secondary level.

The Role:

As a Science Technician, you will be a crucial part of the science faculty, ensuring lessons run smoothly by providing technical support and maintaining safe, well-equipped laboratories. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and setting up apparatus and materials for practical experiments in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

  • Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stored.

  • Assisting teaching staff during practical sessions and demonstrations.

  • Managing stock levels and ordering supplies where necessary.

  • Upholding health and safety standards within the science department.

Candidate Requirements:
  • A degree in a Science-related subject is essential (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field).

  • Previous experience working in a school or laboratory environment is beneficial, though not essential.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

  • A proactive and reliable attitude.

  • A genuine interest in supporting secondary education.
