The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SEND team, and wider staff to deliver consistent support tailored to the child's individual needs.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil in EYFS with SEND, ensuring they can fully engage in daily routines and learning activities.

  • Assist with implementing personalised learning plans and behavioural or emotional support strategies.

  • Encourage the child's communication, social skills, independence, and confidence.

  • Support the class teacher with EYFS activities, resources, and classroom organisation.

  • Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where the child feels supported.

  • Contribute to observations and feedback to track progress and identify areas for development.



Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in an EYFS or primary school setting.

  • A nurturing, patient, and supportive approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
