Teaching Assistant

Location: Whitefield, Greater Manchester
Salary: 103.95-110 per day (PAYE or Umbrella)
Contract: Full-time, Temporary or Long-Term

• Support pupils in accessing learning across the curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher.

• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce understanding and promote progress.

• Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

• Help maintain a well-organised, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

• Support pupils with additional learning needs, promoting independence and confidence.

• Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, purposeful learning atmosphere.

• Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and other activities as required.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to support whole-school aims.

• Experience working with children in a school or similar educational setting.

• A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable but not essential.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.

• A patient, supportive, and nurturing approach to working with children.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one.

• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
