Are you a patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting young learners at primary level?

We are working with a friendly, inclusive primary school in Prestwich seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils who benefit from additional encouragement, structure, and tailored support in their learning.

Classroom experience is advantageous but not essential-a strong understanding of supporting children in an educational setting is required.



As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with pupils, understanding their individual learning needs and providing targeted support during lessons.

  • Assist with behaviour management, promoting positive routines and helping children regulate their emotions.

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.

  • Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment.



Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children (in school or alternative settings) is beneficial.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach.

  • Willingness to work as part of a team and follow school policies and procedures.



TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.

  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one.

  • Provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years.
