Asset Care Technician

Days (Mon- Fri, 8 Hour Shift)

We are currently seeking skilled Mechanical Technician to join the engineering team of a global manufacturing company which is benefitting from a 30 million investment programme to secure long-term growth, innovation and career opportunities.

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working as part of the Day Shift Team your role will focus on asset care and reliability.

Key Tasks:

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance using mechanical engineering skill set.
  • Use modern techniques to diagnose equipment failures, implement robust countermeasures and reduce downtime.
  • Support the continuous improvement culture and failure analysis agenda to reduce downtime by analysing CMMS data to develop action plans.
  • Lead problem solving sessions using RCA methodology.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are updated with learnings from equipment failures to minimise plant downtime.
  • Work closely with production and engineering colleagues to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Contribute to the site's proactive maintenance culture and support knowledge sharing within the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Time-served Engineer with a Mechanical bias.
  • Min NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally FMCG).
  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of modern maintenance techniques, TPM, RCA, RCM, MTBF, MTTR
  • A team player with the flexibility, drive, and resilience to support a major transformation journey.
