HR Advisor

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected educational organisation for an experienced and passionate HR Advisor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive HR support and advice to schools and central teams, ensuring alignment with organisational values and the best interests of the pupils.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Provide HR advice and support to the academies’ leadership teams, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and HR policies.
  • Monitor and act upon absence management and performance management systems.
  • Facilitate and advise on formal staff meetings including disciplinary and capability hearings, ensuring adherence to HR policies.
  • Advise on restructures and organisational changes in collaboration with the Director of People and Culture.
  • Manage recruitment processes from advertising to induction, ensuring compliance with the recruitment policy.
  • Maintain accurate HR and payroll records, and ensure timely payroll processing with our payroll bureau.
  • Administer the school management information system to ensure accurate employment and sickness data.
  • Project manage HR initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in HR advisory roles, preferably within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling HR systems and payroll processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.
