Junior Product Manager – Training and Development Opportunity
Manchester | £30,000 – £32,000 | Permanent | Hybrid (after training)

Our client is a global leader in the engineering, design, and manufacturing of high-quality electro-mechanical equipment. With over 65 years of innovation and a worldwide presence, they continue to set the standard in their field.

You’ll work directly with an experienced Head of Product and a supportive Product Administrator, learning the ropes in a business that values safety, quality, and innovation. Expect real exposure across four product portfolios, from brand-new launches to improvements on existing designs. Projects span mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines in a regulated industry where safety is paramount.

As the product team grows, they are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Product Manager to support product management activities and contribute to delivering best-in-class solutions.

What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll have 1–2 years’ experience in a professional environment such as product development, manufacturing operations, or business analysis, plus:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management (PLM)
  • Exposure to stage gate processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating the product roadmap, tracking milestones, and aligning plans with business goals
  • Support the preparation of documentation for the stage gate process, including business cases, feasibility research, and product specifications
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback, competitor activity, and market trends to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements
  • Contribute to product forecasting, tracking market changes, and supporting pricing decisions with accurate data
  • Coordinate product launches and updates, working closely with marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams
  • Monitor product performance and support decisions on upgrades, repositioning, or discontinuation
  • Conduct competitor and market research to inform product strategy and positioning

The package

  • Salary £30,000 – £32,000 (with salary reviews at 6 and 12 months)
  • 36-hour working week (Mon–Thu 8:30–17:00, Fri 8:30–15:30)
