Role: Security Architect (Cloud)

Location: Edinburgh / Glasgow / Sheffield / Manchester / Birmingham

Summary

Oscar are kicking off the search for an experienced Security Architect contractor to work with a well-known, high end consultancy. The role consists of 3 days in one of their sites, with 2 days working from home.

This role is a 6 month contract and will end on 30th November 2023, with the possibility to extent.

The Role

This role involves leading the end-to-end design of technology solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, business needs, and security requirements.

This role would be great for someone who is a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise, particularly in solution architecture and cybersecurity, and who thrives on balancing business needs with technical design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and escalate both technical and project risks.
  • Articulate and ensure approval of design deviations, resulting in technical debt.
  • Ensure issues arising from solution design are recorded and ensure the design of the solutions are efficient and cost effective.
  • Ensures all designs, decisions, and technical risks are reviewed through architectural and project governance.
  • Serves as the lead technical authority across programmes, offering technical thought leadership and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through regular executive-level communication on project deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience in CNAPP platforms such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Orca or Aqua.
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud platforms.
  • Familiar with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and how they apply to cloud applications.
  • The ability to run risk assessments and threat modelling for cloud-native applications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders.

Role: Security Analyst (Cloud)

Working Pattern: 3 days on-site, 2 days WFH
