Role: IT Field Delivery Engineer - Site Based

Location: Manchester - North West

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and two paid volunteering days per year

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Role Purpose:

To attend sites and provide support for IT hardware and software in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You'll work efficiently and proactively to deliver first-class IT support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware (PCs, laptops, local/network printers and peripherals) across one or more sites. May also include basic server, AV, telephony, and network support.
  • Resolve operating system and application issues in line with procedures and specifications.
  • Complete IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) work as required.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal teams and relevant site contacts.
  • Manage part replacements and returns promptly.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with the role.
  • Adhere to all site-specific fire, security, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure incidents are logged and updated within the IT service management (ITSM) tool within SLA.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies and maintain relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by line management.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota where required.
  • Be prepared to work occasional overtime when necessary.
  • Mentor junior engineers when needed.
  • Comply with company policies and management system requirements.
  • Maintain company equipment in good working order and condition.
  • Follow applicable site-specific policies and processes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation where required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Professional, reliable, and presentable at all times
  • Full UK driving licence (if required to fulfil duties across sites)
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Able to obtain relevant government and/or police security clearance (unrestricted)
  • Self-motivated with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Holds or can obtain relevant technical certifications
  • Possesses at least a CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of operating system tools, application support, and telephony
  • Comfortable working at height and carrying out manual handling tasks
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented behaviours
