About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our automated equipment and control systems. This hands-on role is perfect for engineers with a strong automation or electrical background who enjoy diagnosing faults, improving system performance, and working with PLC controlled machinery. Candidates from any industry with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities of Automation Maintenance Engineer

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production and control systems

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and control panels

  • Support planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns

  • Make PLC, HMI, and parameter adjustments as required

  • Identify and implement improvements to system reliability and performance

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering teams, and external contractors

  • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures

  • Complete maintenance records and technical reports

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in maintenance, automation, or electrical engineering roles

  • Strong fault-finding skills on automated machinery and control systems

  • Knowledge of PLC based systems, including fault diagnosis and basic modifications

  • Relevant electrical or automation qualification (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or equivalent experience)

  • Willingness to work shifts and respond to call-outs if required

  • Experience with PLC/SCADA/HMI platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or similar

  • Understanding of industrial networks, drives, servos, or instrumentation
