Sonic Summary

The position involves working on complex mechanical surface science instrumentation for a global market.
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in assembly and fitting, with a focus on ISO9001/13485 standards.
Responsibilities include assembly, verification of parts, low-level wiring, and maintaining quality records.
The role also requires adherence to product-specific procedures and the ability to suggest and implement improvements.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Working on highly complex mechanical surface science instrumentation for distribution into a worldwide market. Working to detailed instruction sheets and ensuring record keeping in accordance to ISO9001 / 13485.

This position will include working in clean areas, UHV clean and electro polishing.

Responsible to the Assembly Supervisor/Manager for :

The build & assembly of parts and assemblies to drawing standards.

The verification of parts against the appropriate drawings and/or standards which apply.

Low level wiring of parts & assemblies.

The correct use of tools and processes.

To adhere to product specific procedures and completing quality records.

To raise NCR / DCR for problem and failure reporting, suggesting and implementing improvements where appropriate.

Adhering to standards ISO9001/13485

To raise a DCR for corrective action, e.g. drawings / SAMI sheets. To raise NCR for defective parts.

Qualifications: (E/D)

Evidenced time served mechanical fitter or equivalent experience / qualification. (D)

Proven experience of the assembly of complex equipment (D)

Job Related Aptitude and Skills: (E/D)

Good communication skills are required. (D)

Ability to input and receive data from PC's. (D)
