A leading insurance broker is looking to appoint an Insurance Broker/Account Handler to join their team division in Manchester.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional to support key clients within the Property & Construction sector, delivering high-quality service and ensuring smooth day-to-day management of their insurance portfolio.
About the Role
Working closely with an Account Executive, the Insurance Broker/Account Handler will be responsible for supporting the client relationship through efficient handling of renewals, mid-term adjustments, and general insurance administration.
You'll act as a key point of contact for client queries and liaise with insurers to ensure cover is placed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
- Manage the renewal process from start to finish, including obtaining quotes, renewal terms and confirming cover
- Liaise with underwriters to secure competitive terms
- Accurately update and maintain records using Acturis
- Remain up to date with market developments, regulatory changes, and client sector risks
Candidate Profile
- Insurance industry experience, especially relevant if from a commercial property background
- Experience using Acturis is highly desirable
- Strong organisational, communication, and negotiation skills
- Currently holds or is studying towards Cert CII
- Demonstrates a high level of integrity and attention to detail
- Confident working independently while also contributing as part of a team
