  • The salary for this role is approximately £50,000, with additional benefits including a performance-based bonus and company pension.

We are working with a dynamic and hugely successful Insurer who are looking to add to their growing team of Scheme & Affinity expert Underwriters. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with new and existing broker partners to identify, implement and launch new schemes and affinities
  • Operate within your underwriting authority working closely with senior stakeholders across the UK business.
  • Work within underwriting empowerment and make referrals as appropriate
  • Comfortable trading face to face with intermediaries or clients.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of underwriting - preferably in a Professional Indemnity, Property & Casualty
  • Demonstrated high level of technical expertise.
  • An understanding of underwriting risks within a scheme arrangement
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners at all levels.
  • Capacity to work independently and effectively manage workload and diary.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyse and solve problems as well as to learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, and manage and prioritise multiple concurrent projects.
  • Skilled in exercising independent judgment and making critical business decisions effectively.
