A well-established and fast-growing MGA, specialising in Mid/SME commercial insurance across the London and regional markets, is looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Development Underwriter to join its Property and Casualty team.This role involves underwriting new and renewal business within delegated authority levels, collaborating with brokers to grow a profitable portfolio, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and manage a profitable portfolio in line with underwriting guidelines.
- Develop and maintain strong broker relationships to drive retention and new business.
- Evaluate risk and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Work with internal teams to identify cross-selling and scheme opportunities.
- Meet personal and team performance goals.
What You Bring
- Underwriting experience, preferably in a trading or development capacity.
- Strong broker network and excellent interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- A commercial mindset and the ability to work independently and proactively.
