Intelligence Data Administrator

Bolton Council are looking for a Part Time Intelligence Data Administrator to manage and maintain intelligence data within the IDB (Intelligence Database) System while performing essential administrative duties. This role is crucial for supporting operational teams within Regulatory Services with accurate information.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Input, update, and maintain intelligence data in the IDB system in compliance with security protocols.
  • Verify and cross-check data sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Handle verbal and written customer enquiries and complaints in line with Council policies and procedures, ensuring they are responded to promptly and effectively within service policy timelines.
  • Organise and categorise intelligence reports for easy retrieval and analysis.
  • Assist in generating reports and summaries from the IDB system as required, following strict confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
  • Support and maintain the use of information systems and databases, recording and supplying relevant information as required.
  • Support regulatory services with data requests and IDB system troubleshooting.
  • Maintain logs and track intelligence submissions and updates.
  • Work effectively with other team members and develop internal and external customer relationships to help support and improve the efficiency of the team.
  • Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the grading for the post.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Understanding of intelligence handling procedures.
  • Ability to support operational teams with accurate information.
  • Experience in handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service.
  • General administrative skills, including filing, record keeping, and document management.
