Graduate Town Planner - Manchester

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading UK property and planning consultancy, who are seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their Manchester office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with up to one year's experience in planning (public or private sector) to launch their career with a highly respected consultancy. You will work on a wide variety of exciting and complex projects across residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use developments, gaining valuable experience and career development support.

The Role

  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals

  • Supporting planning research, appraisals, and policy analysis

  • Drafting planning statements and reports

  • Attending client meetings, site visits, and hearings as required

  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Manchester office and wider business

About You

  • RTPI accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related discipline

  • Up to one year's experience in planning (placements, internships, or post-graduate work welcomed)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ambitious, proactive, and keen to progress towards RTPI Chartership
