This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to take on a visible role within a business that's deeply embedded in the region's development landscape.

The consultancy is known for delivering high-impact planning strategies on some of the most complex and high-profile schemes across the North West and beyond. Their approach is rooted in understanding client needs, navigating complexity, and adding real value from the very first stage of a project.

The Role

You'll be working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients-ranging from national housebuilders and retail developers to specialist landowners and local authorities. You'll be expected to take ownership of projects, lead planning applications, coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams, and provide strategic advice from inception through to decision.

This isn't just about technical delivery. It's about shaping strategy, unlocking opportunity, and making planning central to successful development.

Key Requirements

  • MRTPI or equivalent professional qualification.

  • Solid experience in a planning consultancy or public sector role, with exposure to complex planning submissions.

  • Confident in managing multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.

  • Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder engagement.

  • Commercially focused with an understanding of development viability and risk.

Why Apply?

  • A strong and growing pipeline of interesting work across residential, retail, green belt and regeneration schemes.

  • A collaborative, energetic and commercially focused team that values ideas, initiative, and ownership.

  • A hybrid working model and flexible approach, supporting work-life balance without compromising impact.

  • The opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the business, with genuine scope for progression.

If you're a Senior Planner who's ready for more influence, more autonomy, and the chance to work on some of the region's most compelling schemes-this could be the move for you
