A highly respected UK law firm with a strong social purpose is looking for a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor (4–7 PQE) to join its Manchester team. Known for its commitment to public good, this firm advises major players in local government, housing and social infrastructure on some of the most significant projects in the country.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advising on and managing complex construction and engineering disputes, including delay claims, live project issues, adjudications and TCC litigation
  • Running matters from initial strategy through to resolution – including mediation, settlement agreements and court proceedings
  • Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas to provide joined-up legal services
  • Supporting junior team members (if desired) and playing a key strategic role within the team
  • Helping clients interpret construction contracts and providing training in clear, practical terms

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified solicitor with 4–7 years’ PQE and solid experience in contentious construction law
  • Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts, construction litigation and alternative dispute resolution methods
  • A strategic thinker who can independently manage files and contribute to team development
  • Experience working with or for public sector clients, housing associations, or within regulated procurement frameworks is desirable
  • Someone who values collaboration, purpose-driven work and a balanced approach to career progression
