About the Firm:An ambitious and newly established law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor to lead its Conveyancing Department as Partner and Head of Department. With a strong focus on short-term lending, real estate, corporate recovery, and litigation, the firm is poised for rapid growth and is looking for a senior professional to be a key player in its success story.
The firm specialises in high-value and complex property matters—including developments, distressed asset sales, and bridging finance transactions—serving a diverse client base within the financial services and real estate sectors. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build and lead a team from the ground up.
Role Overview:The successful candidate will lead the firm’s conveyancing function, driving strategic growth while handling complex property transactions. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring junior team members, developing client relationships, and contributing to the wider direction of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:-
Lead and manage the Conveyancing Department, including junior solicitors and support staff

Define and deliver the department’s strategic objectives and growth plans

Handle a range of residential and commercial conveyancing matters, from start to finish

Advise clients on all aspects of property law and manage complex transactions

Draft, review, and negotiate key legal documentation

Support and advise on distressed property transactions, including sales by insolvency office holders and receivers

Represent clients in negotiations and property-related disputes

Foster strong client relationships through excellent service and communication

Provide mentoring and training for junior lawyers

Work across a wide portfolio including developments, hotels, residential, mixed-use, apartment blocks, buy-to-let, and freehold investments

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant conveyancing experience

Proven leadership experience in a legal environment

Track record of handling complex and high-value property transactions

Experience with distressed assets and insolvency-related property sales is advantageous

Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and drive to grow a team
