There is a particular emphasis on distressed properties and sales by insolvency office holders and property receivers. The firm is building a team of seasoned professionals passionate about guiding clients through challenging legal landscapes to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the Conveyancing Department, driving strategic growth while overseeing a varied caseload of high-value and complex property transactions. You will work closely with clients, providing expert legal guidance, and managing a team of lawyers and support staff to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Conveyancing Department, including supervision of junior lawyers and support staff.
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies to achieve growth and client service excellence.
  • Advise on all aspects of conveyancing, with a focus on complex and high-value transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents for diverse property transactions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in negotiations and property-related disputes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through consistent, high-quality communication and service.
  • Stay informed on legal developments affecting conveyancing and property law.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide integrated legal solutions.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of junior team members.
  • Manage transactions across a range of property types, including developments, hotels, residential, mixed-use, apartment blocks, buy-to-let portfolios, and freehold investments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualified Solicitor with significant experience in conveyancing law.
  • Experience with distressed properties and sales by insolvency office holders or property receivers preferred.
  • Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
  • Existing client base preferred but not essential.
