This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified solicitor to develop their skills in a broad range of contentious matters while working in a friendly, client-focused environment.The RoleYou will be joining a busy litigation team that handles a diverse caseload of both civil and commercial disputes. The role offers early responsibility and direct client contact, with the support and mentoring needed to help you progress.Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a mixed caseload of litigation matters including contractual disputes, debt recovery, landlord & tenant disputes, professional negligence, and contentious probate
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, instructions to counsel, and legal correspondence
  • Attending court hearings, client meetings, and settlement negotiations
  • Supporting senior solicitors on more complex matters and larger disputes
  • Engaging in business development and networking activities to help grow the department

About You

  • This role would suit a commercially minded and confident junior solicitor with a solid foundation in litigation gained during training or post-qualification experience.

You will ideally have:

  • NQ to 2 years' PQE in civil and/or commercial litigation
  • A practical, solution-focused approach to resolving disputes
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Strong drafting and legal research capabilities
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved in business development
