An excellent and unique opportunity has arisen within a top national firm for a Solicitor Advocate to join a leading team specialising in motor liability defence in Manchester. You will be joining one of the UK's top defendant motor claims teams, representing major insurers, self-insured corporates, and fleet operators. This is a chance to work on cases ranging from straightforward liability disputes to complex, high-value injury claims.
As a Solicitor Advocate, you will:
- Conduct advocacy in the County Court, including OIC and MOJ hearings, trials, and applications.
- Provide strategic advice on procedural and liability issues in motor-related claims.
- Draft pleadings, skeleton arguments, and legal opinions.
- Manage and progress personal injury litigation with a proactive approach.
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels to deliver practical, commercial legal solutions.
- Support and mentor junior team members in advocacy and litigation.
About you:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEx Advocate.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in litigation and courtroom advocacy.
- Background in motor litigation or personal injury claims.
- Confident in handling your own hearings, applications, and trials.
- Experience with credit hire, indemnity, fraud, or catastrophic injury cases in a plus.
- Strong communicator with a client-focused approach.
