What you will need to have:

A strong track record in quality management within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical R&D environment

Experience working with or maintaining compliance against ISO9001 (as well as ISO14001 / ISO45001 standards)

Confident knowledge of continuous improvement, document control, and internal auditing

A relevant qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-disciplinary teams

A methodical mindset with a passion for quality systems and structured process improvements
The nice to haves:

A diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical or general) or another technical discipline is beneficial but not essential

Familiarity with basic site or facilities compliance

About the Role
This is a newly created role at a well-established technical site in Eccles. The team develops and builds specialist equipment used in complex testing environments for global clients in the marine and civil sectors. With a new manufacturing process being brought online, this position has been created to lead on quality assurance processes across design, production, testing and assembly.
While there are some secondary responsibilities around site safety and facilities compliance, the core focus is on quality management - from ISO compliance, procedural documentation and internal auditing to risk mitigation, supplier quality, and supporting engineering teams with continuous improvement initiatives.
