My client, who is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, polymer additives and precursors, is looking for an experienced Process Safety Engineer.

The Role:

You'll be instrumental in driving plant and process design, maintenance, and development, with a laser focus on safety, compliance, and innovation in a COMAH site.

Responsibilities:

 

      Lead the design, inspection, and development of high-hazard chemical processes.

Champion COMAH and REACH compliance, keeping us ahead of regulatory expectations.

Drive HAZOPs, process optimisation, and safety envelope development.

Oversee plant commissioning and modifications-from concept to documentation and delivery.

Partner with HSE, regulators, and auditors to prove our performance.

Play a pivotal role in our COMAH Intervention Programme, focusing on Process Safety and Aging Plant strategies.

Train, mentor, and support operators during trials, commissioning, and process rollouts.

The Candidate:

      Strong experience in chemical/process engineering within a COMAH-regulated environment.

A proven track record in process safety, compliance, and plant optimisation.

Sharp troubleshooting skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

The confidence to lead multi-disciplinary teams and engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.

3 years minimum of experience in similar role.
