Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join the established Real Estate team of a progressive and nationally recognised law firm in Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time position (part-time hours may be considered), offering an excellent salary of up to £28,000 and a host of employee benefits including private healthcare, pension, and daily lunch provided. The firm’s Manchester office is easily accessible, and the incoming Real Estate Legal Assistant will enjoy a varied, rewarding role within a forward-thinking environment.

About the Role

This is a new opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or PA to assist on a range of real estate property matters. You’ll be working alongside Partners in a real estate team known for delivering effective, straightforward legal solutions. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Partners and fee earners with high-quality transactional real estate work
  • Managing file opening/closing, client onboarding, and compliance procedures
  • Handling applications for registration at the Land Registry and Companies House
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, leases, contracts, and correspondence
  • Ordering searches and sourcing official Land Registry documents
  • Drafting standard legal documents and letters under supervision
  • Preparing stamp duty land tax (SDLT) submissions
  • Supporting diary management, client updates, and third-party follow-ups
  • Keeping accurate records using the firm’s case management system
  • Monitoring deadlines and aiding the efficient progression of transactions

There will also be the opportunity to gain exposure to some supervised fee-earning work.

About You

You’ll be a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or PA with experience in a property team, ideally with exposure to commercial property or at least 2 years of residential conveyancing. You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
  • High organisational skills, able to work across multiple matters in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for rapid learning
  • Confidence in using case management systems and managing documentation
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude and commitment to first-class support
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit Real Estate team
