Freight Customer Account ManagerOur client is well established and going from strength to strength.  This is a key role working Mon-Fri working with an established and successful team based at their main office in Bolton.
  • Manage existing customer accounts from start to finish, liaising with key contacts regularly to ensure their needs are met on a daily basis
  • Generate new business in line with KPI’s and business objectives
  • Arrange and attend client visits/appointments where appropriate or where asked by SLT as required
  • Ensure all documentation and CRM system is maintained and updated daily to reflect current information
  • Following up on leads and referrals to ensure any opportunity is maximised
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Keep knowledge of logistics industry and freight forwarding up to date and relevant
  • Deal with all customer queries such as price requests, shipment updates and bookings
  • Oversee and manage all customer bookings and related administration
  • Work collaboratively with management to develop and implement the company’s strategic plan
  • Represent the business in a positive and professional manner at all times
  • Use problem solving know-how and initiative to deal with any issues or unforeseen circumstances to ensure the customers always experience customer service excellence
  • Carry out any other reasonable requests by management
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the logistics or freight industry
  • Must live within a 10 mile radius of head office and have own transportation
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage existing accounts successfully
  • Experience with Irish logistics is essential
  • Freight Forwarding experience is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail, computer literacy and time management essential
