Position: Ocean Import Operations Account Manager
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Salary: up to 35,000 + Excellent Benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm (Flexible with hybrid working)

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holiday

As an Ocean Import Operations Account Manager, you'll act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients - ensuring shipments run smoothly from start to finish while providing an exceptional standard of service. You'll collaborate closely with the wider operations team, balancing the day-to-day detail with the bigger commercial picture.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Provide exceptional service to all customers, handling queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Invoice and cost files accurately and on time.
• Select and negotiate with carriers/service providers to maximise profitability.
• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients and suppliers.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to business development.
• Ensure all operational procedures and company standards are followed.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in ocean import freight forwarding or a similar logistics role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills - you'll be the face of the business for your clients.
• A positive, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Commercial awareness and confidence managing profit margins.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and build trusted internal relationships.
