Road Freight Operative - Export - Manchester (UK)
A well-established, family-run business with nearly 60 years of industry experience is looking for a skilled Road Freight Export Operator to join their Manchester team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone experienced in export operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring UK exports run smoothly and on schedule, working closely with European site and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
(Road Freight Operative - Export) - Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK road freight exports from order receipt through to delivery confirmation.
- Keep customers informed at every stage of their shipment and resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and timely administrative records, ensuring all data is up to date.
- Collaborate with European offices to support and troubleshoot outbound delivery queries
- Apply your knowledge of customs procedures where needed to support smooth operations.

- Proven experience in road freight, export operations, or logistics.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly with administrative tasks and data entry.
- Ability to work effectively with international teams and manage customer expectations.
- Understanding of UK and EU customs procedures is advantageous.
(Road Freight Operative - Export) - Position Remuneration
- Competitive salary: 35,000 - 38,000 per year
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (flexible if required) - no weekend work
- 28 days holiday including bank holidays
