Sea Import Coordinator Overview:

Are you an experienced freight forwarder who thrives on delivering exceptional client service and operational precision? We're looking for a sea freight import coordinator to join our clients dynamic Ocean Imports team. In this pivotal position, you'll be responsible for managing sea freight import shipments from origin through to final delivery. You'll collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and global agents to ensure a smooth and efficient shipping process. If you're commercially savvy, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment - we want to hear from you.

Sea Import Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full sea freight import process, from origin to delivery.
  • Liaise with overseas offices and agents to coordinate shipments.
  • Negotiate rates with suppliers to drive value for clients.
  • Select contracts and carriers suited to individual client needs.
  • Quote clients and monitor competitive market rates.
  • Keep clients informed with regular shipment status updates.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for customs clearance.
  • Coordinate deliveries with suppliers and hauliers.
  • Resolve delays and issues promptly.
  • Invoice and cost files with accurate margin control.
  • Attend client visits with the sales team to build lasting relationships.
