Are you an experienced Site Manager specialising in large-scale residential or commercial new builds? Here's a chance to lead a significant project in Manchester city centre with a reputable regional contractor.

Our Manchester-based client has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the North West, particularly in the commercial and residential sectors. With a healthy pipeline of future work and exciting growth plans, they are seeking a skilled Site Manager for a key permanent position, initially assigned to a major new-build development of 500 apartments in the city centre.

Your Role on Site:

As Site Manager, you will be at the forefront of site operations for this substantial residential scheme. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring all activities align with programme, quality, and safety standards, reporting into the Project Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct line management of Assistant Site Managers.
  • Expert coordination of all site trades and material logistics.
  • Implementing stringent quality control measures for all works.
  • Delivering essential site inductions and regular Toolbox Talks.
  • Proactive monitoring and management of site progress against the project programme.
  • Maintaining and enforcing the highest standards of Health and Safety on site at all times.

Skills & Experience Required:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience managing the entire construction lifecycle of building projects valued at a minimum of 20 million.
  • Non-negotiable experience working on high-rise new-build residential or commercial projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a talent for finding practical, effective solutions.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Essential site qualifications: CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid.
  • A background from a trade is preferred.
