Mechanical Design Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a motivated and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, in a 6-month contract role outside IR35. You will be required to work on a hybrid basis (3-4 days a week) from our client’s Manchester office. This a great opportunity to work on an exciting healthcare project with an experienced team.

-Competitive hourly rate ranging from £40-£45 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Developing detailed mechanical design drawings.

-Supporting concept generation and mechanical feasibility studies.

-Conducting design calculations and simulations where required.

-Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project requirements.

-Managing design documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

-Engaging in design reviews and problem-solving discussions with a cross-functional team.

What we are looking for:

-A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

-Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering, especially within the healthcare sector.

-Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

-A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for design innovation.
