Key Responsibilities
- Delivering detailed mechanical design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Collaborating closely with structural engineers, architects, and contractors
- Attending technical and project group meetings
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legislative building standards
- Advising on energy efficiency and sustainability
- Designing bespoke mechanical systems for specific sites/projects
- Overseeing installation and specifying maintenance procedures
- Using industry-standard design tools including CAD and BIM (Revit)
- Conducting condition surveys and preparing client reports
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a similar mechanical design engineering role
- Progress towards (or ambition to achieve) Chartered Engineer status
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
- Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp
- An organised and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for continuous learning
