Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering detailed mechanical design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Collaborating closely with structural engineers, architects, and contractors
  • Attending technical and project group meetings
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legislative building standards
  • Advising on energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Designing bespoke mechanical systems for specific sites/projects
  • Overseeing installation and specifying maintenance procedures
  • Using industry-standard design tools including CAD and BIM (Revit)
  • Conducting condition surveys and preparing client reports

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in a similar mechanical design engineering role
  • Progress towards (or ambition to achieve) Chartered Engineer status
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp
  • An organised and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for continuous learning
