They currently have numerous secured projects throughout the North-West and so have a requirement for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team. The Role and its Responsibilities
In the role of Mechanical Project Engineer you will be responsible for the following;
- Overseeing the pre-construction designs
- Support of all technical aspects of the mechanical installation
- Interpretation and adaptation of designs
- Ensure a good working relationship alongside the Electrical Project Engineer
- Reporting to the Project Manager on works
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe manner and is as laid out in contracts
- Regular attendance of meetings with the client and project teams
- Keep the ongoing project to cost and time allocation and understand the budget of the project at any given time
- Procurement and management of the sub-contractors
- Cost forecasting
- Commissioning process
- Client handover
The Individual
This role requires a confident, experienced Mechanical Project Engineer who can work in a sometimes-pressurised environment on a variety of projects. You will need to be self-motivated with the ability to organise your team effectively.
Skills and Qualifications
- BTEC, HNC/D level qualification in Building Services Engineering or equivalent advantageous
- Solid commercial knowledge
- SMSTS or equivalent
