Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer (with site work)

Fundamentally this is a design role, but it is possibly one of the most varied roles within building services engineering; this is an opportunity to utilise your design experience and onsite knowledge into a 50/50 role.

Working within an international business, this asset management and property services focused role supports clients with all aspects of their property portfolio or estate, from looking at energy spend and management, carbon reduction and the costs and risks associated with changes and upgrades.
Once the solution has been decided, your role will then be to design the solution and work with the client with onsite duties including supervision and checking.

Your workload will include:

  • Surveys of the pre- and post- acquisition varieties
  • Condition, asset and lifecycle surveys and reports
  • Client exposure will be regular
  • Designing Mechanical solutions to suit the project requirement
  • On site duties throughout construction

You can expect to improve your commercial acumen significantly in this role, your understanding of property, landlord and commercial law will improve, and you will help to solve real world problems.

A Principal Mechanical Engineer is sought to join their team based in Manchester, they are extremely busy and have built a reputation locally that means the clients don't go anywhere else.

What you need:

  • A Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering
  • Keen to progress to Chartership if you are not CEng already.
  • Willingness to travel - they have regional offices so the demand for excessive travel will be infrequent
