Location: Manchester (M32 0RS) - hybrid, minimum 3 days per week in office

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take a leading role on projects within the UK regulated water industry. You'll be responsible for delivering complex mechanical designs on various UMON projects at Sewage Treatment Works, guiding junior engineers and collaborating closely with the wider team.



About the Client:

Our client is a well-established engineering design consultancy working across the UK rail and utilities sectors, with a growing focus on the water industry. They pride themselves on a friendly, focused culture and prioritise the wellbeing of their team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical design work for UK water sector projects.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers within the team.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards and regulations.
  • Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and implementation.


What Our Client is Looking For:

  • Significant experience delivering mechanical design for the UK regulated water industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of sewage treatment or related utility infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills within a multidisciplinary design team.
  • Available to work from the Manchester office at least 3 days per week.
