Futures is working with a leading manufacturing company in Manchester to find a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on innovation and the development of core fluid power / solenoid technology. You will be responsible for contributing to the research and innovation of new product development, particularly within the company's core fluid power / solenoid technology. This role will involve applying physics, mathematics, and engineering first principles to solve complex problems and develop new solutions.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and innovation related to new product development.

• Apply fundamental engineering principles to problem-solving.

• Learn and adapt to new subjects and technologies independently.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of solenoid technology.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Academically Minded: Possesses a strong understanding of physics, mathematics, and engineering first principles.

• Independent Learner: Able to research and fathom out solutions without extensive supervision.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

  • Experience in the oil and gas sector.

  • Understanding of fluid power and solenoid experience.

• Education: A Master's degree is definitely beneficial. Definitely need a degree or equivalent.
